Episode 174: celebrating four years of On The Ledge
In late February 2017 I set up a microphone in my husband’s underwear drawer and recorded the first episode of On The Ledge. More than 170 episodes later, and I’m celebrating the show’s fourth birthday, looking at the episodes that captivated and the plants that enthralled us. Keep listening to the end for the blooper reel…

This is my must-listen when I water and care for all 235 of my plants! Very calming and informative! Greetings from China!
Top notch listening
I can’t say enough good things about this podcast! Jane’s voice is lovely and soothing so it’s relaxing listening in these turbulent times. She’s super responsive to listener questions. She’s knowledgeable but isn’t afraid to say she doesn’t know something—and then goes to work finding the answer. Her interviews with experts are a delight. I have learned so much and have been bingeing past episodes to get through the horror that is November 2020. I’ve learned so much and she’s given me the confidence and enthusiasm to return to indoor gardening with gusto after a long hiatus. Be warned, though: this podcast might be expensive as your wish list grows every episode!
Great show for any level of houseplant owner!
I love this show! Genuinely think I’ve been annoying my friends and family with how much I’ve been talking about it recently. On the Ledge provides lighthearted but realistic houseplant care tips, with humour and charm from host Jane Perrone.
