    Stacy's Story

    Stacy's Story

    After learning about her son's Autism diagnosis in 2008, she was overwhelmed by the questions that were running through her mind at that time.  What was Autism? What will his future look like? How does she fix it?  It was that last question that kept her glued to the computer researching Autism.  She didn’t sleep or eat for days as she read website after website to learn as much as she could about Autism and how to help her son.

    She then pulled herself together and went into action mode.

    Action mode meant leaving her corporate job.  Sad to leave, but needing to get her son from this appointment to that appointment and back to this therapy and that therapy.  It was a hectic time.  And needless to say, money was not abundant considering she wasn’t working.  So, she had to take action on that too.  No one would hire her with the hours she had to keep, so she needed to start her own business.  Being an entrepreneur was always something she wanted to be, but didn’t expect it would happen in this way.

    Anneline is a South African-born Entrepreneur.  She lived in Hong Kong for 3 years, before coming to Canada where she quickly learnt the national anthem, became a Blue Jays fan, and is a fur-mom to two fox-red labs.  Anneline is also a musician, having written and recorded two music albums.     Annette made a decision to use as many all natural products as she could after enduring a grand mal seizure caused by stress.  She made a BIG decision to de-toxify her life. She ditched chemical ridden products, food that didn't nourish her, people who weren't enhancing her life...you name it. She started making her own natural cosmetics after being frustrated with long, confusing lists of ingredients she couldn’t pronounce.

    When Fay's husband suffered a catastrophic brain stem stroke in 2009 she was faced with the challenge that needed to be addressed.  A re evaluation of her life and career.

    After years of spending the majority of her career across the globe she became housebound; caring for a her disabled husband, three children and both terminally ill in laws.

    With finances dwindling and options limited Fay began her life as a business owner and entrepreneur allowing her the flexibility to continue to care for and financially support her family.

    Her health centre, consulting agency, online business strategies and connections brought Fay local, national and international guest speaking invitations.

    Spenser's Story

    Spenser's Story

    One Red Lipstick started with Spenser's Mom, Fay telling her to wake up put on some lipstick and be ready for whatever the world brings your way. She didn’t really understand what that meant until the world came crashing down around her. Her dad had a brain aneurysm in 2009 and it has now left him fully disabled. Through her journey, she have met incredibly talented women, all dealing with their own challenges, and all bravely moving forward to build their lives and businesses despite what was thrown at them. She wanted to tell their stories, and so she decided to make a film about them. One Red Lipstick is a film about their struggles, their truths, their success. This is her story.

One Red Lipstick will change the lives of so many. As I listen to These brave and resilient women’s stories, I am reminded of the words of Anne Frank: “where there is hope, there is life. It fills us with fresh courage and makes us strong again”.
