    OTCB February 26, 2026; Jonathan Donville

    This week on the Off the CrosseBar Podcast we welcome back a future NLL analyst and broadcaster- but he's still got a lot gas left in the tank, Jonathan Donville of the Desert Dogs. Donny stepped away from the media game last summer in order to focus on his #1 career, and it's looking like the move is paying off. The 4th year pro has helped put Vegas into Play-off spot and is producing at very high rate with all the offensive additions to the roster. But it hasn't been without it's struggles as the injury bug has run rampant through the Dog's Den. We talk about his decision to see a sports psychologist to strengthen his mind, and is learning to play a lot more freely. While he's still lacrosse junkie, he admits to not watching lacrosse as he used to. Unless of course it's Maryland/Cornell. Week 14 has 10 games, including six teams playing two games over the weekend. It's gonna be a busy one.     This week on the Off the CrosseBar Podcast we welcome back the brightest rising star in sports broadcasting, the history maker herself, Maki Jenner. For the second straight year, Jenner has toppled another milestone-first. Saturday night she became the first female to do play-by-play for an NLL on TSN. With nerves of steel, poise of a ten year veteran, and the passion of a life long lacrosse fan- she didn't miss a beat and absolute crushed it. She talks about her influences and welcome to the NLL moments. We talk about her mid-season surprises and who needs to step up for the Halifax Thunderbirds. It was a wild week 12 so we recap all the action, answer your questions and start to pen some teams into the post-season.     This week on the Off the CrosseBar Podcast we check back in with the Big Boss Man- the NLL Commissioner, Brett Frood. Last time we spoke with Frood it was pre-season and there was a lot of hype and excitement leading up to the season. Now that we're halfway through, we wanted to get his thoughts on how things are going. There's no shortage of topics- from viral clips, league stability, rule changes and reviews, and of course merchandise. Frood is open and honest throughout our conversation and understands the frustration of fans. He's doing all he can to keep this ship going froward in a positive trajectory.     OTCB February 5, 2026; Brett Dobson

    This week on the Off the CrosseBar Podcast we're joined by friend of the program and the NLL's top netminder, Brett Dobson of the Georgia Swarm. After an opening night loss, the Swarm have won 5 of their last 7 games largely in part to Dobson's outstanding play between the pipes. One of the game's best goalies in either discipline, Dobson has put the NLL on notice that he means business. He's also very focused on his chances to play in the 2028 LA Olympics as a member of Team Canada and will do everything he can to be there; hopefully alongside his sister. The Rylan Hartley hit was all anyone was talking about after week 10, so we'll give out thoughts on the matter as well as some other story lines from last week. You may have seen him calling BC Jr A game, the Founders and even the off NLL game- that's cause Fera is one of the brightest up and coming stars of the broadcast world. Now, he's the host of the Vancouver Warriors Podcast and continues to pump out great content talking all things lacrosse. A quiet week 9 still gave us plenty to talk about but not as much as week 10 will, as all 14 teams are in action with some teams facing near do-or-die matchups.     OTCB January 21, 2026; Zach Manns

    This week on the Off the CrosseBar Podcast we welcome back good Victoria boy, Zach Manns from the Saskatchewan Rush. Winners of their last five games, the Rush are playing like a team that's eager to right the wrongs of last year and Manns is doing his part emphatically. More so, he's been taking it out some of this childhood friends and former teammates from Victoria. Week 8 in the NLL was a wild but not one without plenty of controversy. Rule 67.16 continues to be a major issue and it's still unclear what is and isn't a penalty. So we'll dive deeper into the situation and answer your questions about the return to Edmonton in this week's MailBag. A quiet week 9 but for a couple teams, we might be getting into must win territory after some slow starts. We tease a couple exclusive prop bets and parlays with the Polar bears and a whole lot more. After winning a Gold with Team Canada in 2024, a Mann Cup in 2025 and a Mann Cup MVP- it's safe to say the he's playing the most elite ball of his career. Coming off two wins last weekend, Smith and the KHawks are putting the league on notice that they're for real this year.
