Presumes a lot of prior knowledge - I got lost.

Podcasters don’t take the time to make you care about the story. Podcast presumes a ton of prior knowledge. Target audience is those who already care about this local/national British story. Great if you already know all about this guy and this specifically British historical time. If you don’t already know the story, be prepared to pause frequently and check Wikipedia to figure out what’s going on. As I’m not British, I’ve never heard of this person who is the subject of this podcast. Why is this politician and his story so meaningful? I got lost when they got into the weeds with this Midland thing - was genuinely surprised to learn context and timeline from Wikipedia - I wasn’t getting the big picture from the podcast. I wanted to be drawn in, but I was lost and the podcast hosts didn’t bring me back in.

Harvey is not a likeable guy. He’s a repulsive nationalist twice burned by the media Most of us were pleased he was “cancelled “ the first time not really knowing what actually happened. The second accusation was horrific. Both trail by media based in homophobia. These reporters do an excellent job covering a story of a man who most of us couldn’t possibly cheer for but realized he’s only human. Sure made me think. Thanks for the excellent job.
