Who we are? We are a Messianic Congregation that believes that Yeshua is the Messiah who came the first time as Messiah Son of Joseph, the suffering Messiah. His primary mission was to redeem and save Israel and mankind from our sins. (Isaiah 53; Zech. 12:10; Zech. 9:9; Dan. 9;26; Matt 21:5; Gen. 22:8, Ex 12:27; John 1:29).We believe that Yeshua is Divine and will return the second time, pray it be soon and in our lifetime, as Messiah Son of David, the King of the Jews/Israel. He will come and rule and reign for a thousand years teaching the nations HIS Holy Torah. (Isaiah 11, Micah 4, Zech. 14, Rev.19, 20)We believe that the Torah (Law), (Instructions) Law of Moses are scriptures and the WORDS of HaShem. He gave HIS covenant to Israel to share to the nations. As this is HIS WORDS, it was not and will never be done away with. As believers in Yeshua, the Jewish King, we are called to graft ourselves into Israel, HIS covenant people (Genesis 26:1-2, Numbers 15:29, Isaiah 14; 56:6-7, Romans 11). We believe that Yeshua is the living Torah made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:1,14). That is why Yeshua said in Mathew 5:17 “ Think not that I am come to destroy the law (Torah), or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.” We believe that salvation can only come by grace through Yeshua the Messiah by our repentance (return to Torah) (Matt. 3). We are called as covenant believers to endeavor to live a Torah centered life style as instructed by Yeshua to HIS disciples as a sign of our love for HIM, our testimony and our fulfillment of HIS will and empowered by HIS Ruach HaKodesh(Matt 3, 5, 28:18-2, John 8, 14 and 15).     Vayakhel Pekudei 5786 Temple of HIS Light

    Vayakhel (And He Assembled) Pekudei (Accounting) Exodus 35:1to 38:20; 38:21-40:38 is double Torah portion this week. MOSES comes down after 40 days to let the Children of Israel know that Hashem has forgiven them, and that day was Yom Kippur. 10th day of Tishrei. Informs them of the building project. The tabernacle project is completed and Moses, Aaron and the rest are about to assemble the tabernacle. The assembly starts with the Holy of Holies and as if Moses is moving backwards (same way when leaving the presence of a King) and starts describing the Holy Place and then moves all the way at the entrance describes the altar and moving forward into the brazen laver. Why did the Lord take the time to describe the earthly tabernacle? Perhaps He is showing us something. In fact, I can show you that the Gospel (plan of salvation and redemption) can be seen on the tabernacles. It goes on to describe the Priestly garments. In fact, this is the same garment described by Paul as our full armor of God (not a Roman soldier). In Pekudei, they call this the accountants Torah portion. God is showing us the importance of full disclosure and accounting of resources entrusted to us. Throughout this Torah portion, you will repeatedly hear/read “according to all that the Lord had commanded”. Because the children of Israel did that, he Glory of the Lord fell and came. It is an example for us, when God tells us to do something, we need to be faithful to carry it out “according to all that the Lord had commanded”.

There are two traditions in Purim called “Mishloach Manot” (Giving of food to family and friends) and “Matanot La’evyonim” (Giving of gifts to the poor). To celebrate that CY will be donating non-perishable food to the Food Bank. Also, if you like, wear a costume as Purim is all about hidden identities. We encourage you to read the book of Esther to prepare for the teaching. The teaching will cover hidden clues that point to where this practices came from in the book of Esther and what its broader implication to us. We will look at how Esther was also like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. For the meat of the teaching , we will relate how Mordecai mirrored Joseph and more importantly Yeshua the Messiah. This is another must be there moment and please do not miss the opportunities to be blessed and be a blessing with your gifts.
