I enjoy the conversation and the respect shown by each contributor toward the other. My request: please use a modern English translation of the tanakh! Thee, thou, spake ye—really?? Please! The JPS translation is generally accepted by all scholars and streams of Judaism. It’s modern and understandable and true to the Hebrew. Leave King James behind!
