This is not just one of my favourite podcasts, it stands among my favourite endeavours across all the wonderful things there are to read, watch, listen to, and play in the (English-speaking) world <3
Both co-hosts are smart, funny, interesting and warm. It is the strength and vulnerability of their relationship to one another (mother, and adult son raising small children of his own) -- and their openness in letting the listeners witness, and in thus in some way participate in, this dynamic that elevates this project.
The show features stories from the lives of the co-hosts for the first part of each episode, before moving on to the (usually spoiler-free) reviews -- even if you are very spoiler-averse, the first half of each episode is well worth listening to.
I fear this is all rather dry-sounding, but I assure you the podcast is anything but. I'm so thankful for all the mirth and comfort Bonney and John have provided me over the years.
