    For this bonus episode, I took my friend Jared Smith to a House of Prayer Christian Church service in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Jared is an atheist who runs the YouTube channel Heliocentric, where he audits churches every Sunday. The only catch is that he refuses to know anything about a church before he visits. So I picked him up, drove him an hour to one of the most cult-like churches I've ever covered on this show, and recorded the whole road trip down there. What you'll hear is a wide-ranging conversation about his upbringing in evangelical Christianity, how he became an atheist, the multiple churches in America all calling themselves the House of Prayer, and what it's like to walk into a cult cold turkey.     In Part 6, the FBI comes knocking. Rony Denis and his top associates allegedly defrauded the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and military veterans out of more than $23.5 million. The House of Prayer Bible Seminary looked like a school. Veterans used their GI Bill benefits to enroll, paying the church hundreds of dollars a month for classes that led nowhere and credits worth nothing outside these walls. Rony Denis is still a free man. But not for long.
