Disagree with the previous review. Although I agree that Holly is a perfectly polite and intelligent person, perhaps her personality type is better suited towards a different type of show. One of the things that made the original pod with Eric and Blake so great was their chemistry, witty banter and extensive vocabulary. Although Holly's positivity is cool, I find that she is much like myself in that her vocabulary isn't nearly as extensive as Eric and Blake's and so she sometimes struggles to articulate her thoughts efficiently. I find myself becoming disengaged when she speaks because the wit and focus just isn't there the way it was when Blake was around. I also find that she herself has a habit of prematurely interrupting and steering the discussions in random directions at times. I empathize with her because I think I have a similar personality type and speaking skillset. But at the same time, having become heavily invested in the original reasonablists pod, I can't help but feel disappointed that the magic feels gone. I still think Eric is great in his role but just like Pascal these past few games, it's evident that he needs to be complimented by Fred to thrive. I hope I'm not being too harsh on Holly as I can't imagine how difficult it is to host a podcast. I'm rooting for her to step it up in the same way we've been calling for Gary to find his stride since the break. But i'm a bit pessimistic and more curious to see if someone else can revive this role.
