Is remote work better for the environment?

Is remote work better for the environment?

Working from home seems like it could be great for the climate. You don’t need to drive a car to work, and companies won’t need to heat and power large offices. But as Professor William O’Brien explains, the reality is much more complicated, and without proper planning, remote work may lead to greater emissions in the future.

A wealth tax for tech billionaires

A proposal in the Washington state legislature would impose a 1 percent wealth tax on assets over $1 billion. Recode’s Teddy Schleifer (@teddyschleifer) explains why the state’s billionaires — like Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and MacKenzie Scott — aren’t getting behind it.

Is AI really a national security threat?

Is AI really a national security threat?

What do you think about when you're asked about artificial intelligence? You might think about search algorithms or social feeds or robots, but what you might not be thinking about is national security. That’s right, AI can be used for things like drone targeting and missile detection. A report by the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence wants the US to be a world leader in AI development, but what does it even mean to be a leader wielding this technology? Vox’s Kelsey Piper (@kelseytuoc) explains.

Such a great podcast. A weekly must

Noooooon. Je suis tellement triste de perdre ce podcast. Je vais m'ennuyer de toi Arielle!
J'ai bien hâte de te suivre dans la suite.
Et je ne veux plus entendre "but you don't have to say it that way " 😉

Repetitive ads

I love this podcast but please for the love of god, fix how the ads are distributed. I get the exact same single ad back to back repeatedly through the episodes. If I hear another Bandwidth commercial....

Great Podcast

Overall a really great podcast! They cover some really interesting stories within the tech world and have very knowledgeable guests come onto show. As a person working in tech I would’ve liked it if the show went deeper into the workings behind many of the stories they covered but, regardless of that the stories are well told and formatted for anybody to enjoy.
