A spectre is haunting StringerLabs - the spectre of Netflix’s original series The Circle. If you came to our show from Sportsfeld seeking refuge, I’m afraid you’ll have to keep searching. Today, we watched “The Girl Who Is Dripping With Hypocrisy” and would you believe that it’s actually not who you'd immediately assume? Life is full of little delights such as this. Later, the models dance in a music video for Tyra and everyone dunks on Erin trying to talk about the Wu Tang Clan.

    SmizeWatch 2020 (S02E06)

You know, I can’t quite put my finger on why, but for some reason I feel like ripping open a bag of satisfying and crunchy Rolitos to go with this episode. This week, we watch “The Girl Whose Lips Puffed Up” and get to see the models shoot a high concept snack food commercial. Tyra moves ever closer to coining the term “smize” and Producer Spouse has some helpful tips on how to be “flawsome” so this is a portmanteau heavy episode. Also, Cassie gets to share all the books she read this year so far and feels an unnerving sense of affinity with an evil swirling torrent of rags.

Come On Down To The Spooky Seahorse (S02E05)

Avast! This week, we watched “The Girl Who Is A Visual Orgasm” (blech) and the lovely ladies of Cycle 2 are headed underwater for a submerged shoot, and I get “Fathoms Below” from The Little Mermaid stuck in my head. That’s not recorded or at all evident in this episode, but take my word for it. Camille tries to manifest her presumed victory to the distaste of basically everyone, Janice Dickinson says maybe the funniest thing ever, and Erin tries to record the podcast while working on a stew in the new dutch oven we got for Christmas.

Do you want to be on top? How do you cultivate a personal style? What on god’s green earth is a jellicle cat? All these questions, and more, will be half answered on this week’s episode, as we watch “The Girl Who Needs Six Months Of Modelling School.” The girls learn about expressing themselves through fashion with the help of a cranky British misogynist, one of the models conceals her autoimmune disease, nobody is helpful to Jenascia and Cassie has a lot of thoughts about the rather confused worldbuilding of Andrew Lloyd Webber (and by extension, T.S. Eliot)’s Cats that ultimately causes more confusion. Later, Erin and Cassie solve racism.

DON’T FORGET: Starting next week, the show is moving to Tuesdays! We’ll see you February 4th!

Podcasts Are A Complete Waste Of Emotion And Time (S02E03)

Today, we’re gonna take you on a journey through “The Girl Who Can Cry At The Drop Of A Hat,” an episode that inspires discussions about crying AND hats! It’s makeover week, and almost all the girls are going to get makeovers! The girls learn all about doing their own makeup, do a shoot dangling over a weird chasm in an abandoned building and Janice Dickinson offers the same piece of stunningly useless critique on Jenascia for the third week in a row. Later, Cassie makes a rather upsetting confession about her cooking habits. Will the show survive? Listen to find out!

We’re Already Experts At Walking (S02E02)

Oh, you’re here already! Step into our office, it’s time to discuss the dreadfully titled “The Girl Who Floats Like A Butterfly And Stings Like A Bee.” This week, we meet the delightful personal trainer Martin Snow, Tyra throws a pyjama party, and two of the girls in particular are singled out for physical traits they have absolutely no control over. Covering this show makes you feel, and this is true, extremely great! Also, Erin lists all the books she read last year. It is mildly disconcerting. This is where I’m going to try to do a joke about singing Martin Snow’s bit about “hungry fighters” to the tune of “Hungry Eyes” because I wasn’t allowed to make that the episode title. Hungry fights… that’s all I’ve got so far.

Blake Murphy ,

The chemistry!!

This is a fun and easy listen even as someone not familiar with the subject matter beforehand. What a great pod.

Cccccrrrrrr12 ,

Great dynamic!

These two have hilarious chemistry and they could probably talk about nothing, and I would tune in to listen!!

Breannayn ,

Hilarious

For all those who watched ANTM, wanted to be a model, liked fashion, photography, hated yogurt, etc., you will definitely relate to these two.
They have some really interesting perspectives on the life of a failed model who still loves fashion and art, and the back and forth is just like sitting down and chatting with your best friend.
I had so much fun listening and I’m definitely going to be rewatching the show so I can follow along.
Also, I wanted one of those j lo swim suits.
