i’m not usually one for podcasts, but i’ve been hooked onto this one from the moment i listened to the trailer for season 1. i agree with other reviewers: the storytelling - a clear labor of love - feels so personal, vulnerable and moving. i can’t believe someone took the time to track down all the people in darryl’s life, to bring them into dialogue with each other, and to expand his legacy in such a thoughtful way YEARS after his death. i listened to this podcast at home while playing animal crossing, at the bus stop while commuting to/ from work, and occasionally while going on a walk too. it reminds my jaded 26 year old heart of what it was like to be a teenager in awe of all the love and emotion in the world. i could write essays on how this podcast made me feel, but truthfully speaking, words are simply not enough. i feel connected to myself and to the world in a way i haven’t felt in a long time. thank you, dane and team, and i hope you continue building this podcast so that people everywhere - especially queer folk - can continue seeing that the amount of love for them in this world transcends both time and space. eagerly looking forward to season 2 ❤️
