Brian Fraser: Brentwood Presbyterian Church, Jazz Worship
Rev. Dr. Brian Fraser of Brentwood Presbyterian Church talks about the church's role in our jazz community, his life before and around Brentwood, and what is next at the space including major renovation plans.
When I started the RCP over two years ago, I wrote down a personal wishlist of whom I most wanted to eventually speak with and Brian's name was the first one I scribbled. There are but a few people who have honed their perspective on our scene over the decades as he has, including under his non-profit consultancy called Jazzthink – where he identifies as lead provocateur. Please enjoy my chat with Brian Fraser.
Brentwood's Jazz Evensong series takes place on Wednesday nights. Find it on the gig list at https://www.rhythmchanges.ca/gigs .
Their YouTube channel hosts livestreams of each Jazz Evensong as well as Sunday morning worship streams.
