Episode #22 | The Fitness Church

Episode #22 | The Fitness Church

The health and fitness industry has become a convenient space to usher in new age thought and self idolization. While fitness has for many years focused primarily on the body and maintaining a healthy lifestyle it is now evolving, and incorporating new age spirituality and political ideologies.

We discuss how to get your workout in, without sacrificing what you believe as a Christian.

    #21 My Story

    #21 My Story

Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” John 4:39

There is power in sharing the story of how Jesus turns our lives around; and after a long sabbatical, I wanted to start season 2 of the podcast by sharing my testimony. It's the longest episode I've recorded to date and it's been a complete labor of love to record and edit this episode but I pray that you find it to be a blessing, whether parts of my story resonate with you, shock you or make you laugh...it's all for God's glory.

    Idea Factory | Episode #19

    Idea Factory | Episode #19

It was a hard sell. I realize that but I could visualize it in my head and I just knew, it would look amazing if we painted the master bathroom walls, black. Trying to convince Adam, well that was another story.

I don't like to stereotype but typically, we fall into one of two categories. Builders; are the people that implement a plan, and dreamers, those of us who see the vision. I like to call these people, idea factories. Our minds race a mile a minute with all the wonderful things we could do or create and sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming for the rest of the world. We are visionaries and innovators but we tend to shelter that creativity for fear of failure or a lack of implementation. In today's episode, I talk about my experience as an idea factory and how to lean into that inspiration while following through on the dreams and visions you have.

I am so honored that you come back each week and listen to the show. One of the biggest ways you can show your love and support is by leaving a review. How To Do The Things You WANT To Do | Episode #18

How To Do The Things You WANT To Do | Episode #18

If you've ever caught yourself saying, 'I wish there were more hours in a day' or, 'If only I had a clone, then I could...' you are NOT alone.

Often as women, we find ourselves carried away by the many responsibilities of life. Gone are the days of boredom. Hobbies?! What's a hobby? Finding time to commit to the things we love and enjoy doing, becomes rarer and rarer.  Maintaining the busyness you find yourself in, may start to feel normal but there is a way to take a step back, create space, and invest time into the things that restore your mind and soul.

In today's episode, I give you 4 practical tips on creating margin in your life while balancing responsibility and doing more of what you love. I'll be the first to say that I need this episode most of all, and many of these practices may be easier said than done but when implemented, they allow us to focus on our priorities while enjoying the things we love to do most.

How To Withstand A War | Episode #17

How To Withstand A War | Episode #17

When you go to war, make sure you have what you need to withstand the fight. I'm not talking about armor and artillery but rather, the everyday battles we come up against in life. You may not be in man-to-man combat but you may face challenges and opposition that can leave you feeling tired, weak, and exhausted.

This week I talk about struggling with this in my own life as I share with you 4 techniques to minimize exhaustion when you're feeling like the underdog. Just because you've lost a battle does not mean you've lost the war, so don't be discouraged, you've got a lot of fight in you still!

An Upgrade From Heaven | Episode #16

An Upgrade From Heaven | Episode #16

This week I upgraded to a new phone and as I've grown older, I've noticed how I dread the process, rather than look forward to it.

Moving all my contacts, music, apps, and photos over to a new phone is something I've begun to have a great distaste for. First-world problems, I know, but as I thought more about this I realized that God is moving many women to "upgrade" areas in their lives. It's always interesting how a word from Heaven can come in the form of moving from 64GB to 128GB phone, but God is moving women into open, spacious places. Is your battery life depleted? Do you have a smashed exterior or broken case? God says it's time for you to upgrade to something new!
