After my 2012 Thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail, my life was changed forever. The challenge of big adventure had me hooked. I soon set a goal of sailing alone and without stopping around the world. In 2017-18, I did just that! Since then, I have taken my podcast aboard my Westsail32 as well as in my everyday life. The shows are a mix of my own past experiences along with interviews of everyday people that have a seemingly endless number of stories themselves.

EP#243 Conversation with Paul Trammell
Paul Trammell is a fellow Sailor, author and Podcast host. Offshore Sailing and Cruising and Sailing Into Oblivion have come together for a casual convo about everything from fighting sharks to Staysail use and everything in-between. Paul has a real talent for writing and narrating his books, I listened to Journey to the Ragged Islands before our show and it was absolutely wonderful, and I can't wait to be reading the rest of his library while sailing aboard Sparrow in the future. Big thanks to Paul for taking some time to chat.

EP#242 Ranting about Tech and Offshore Sailing
Well it's time once again for me to go off the rails a little and dive into my thoughts on the good and bad of Technology when sailing offshore. I will always have mixed emotions about this subject and in some ways I myself am still trying to figure out what is the best path. The time-honored tradition of old VS new. Enjoy the show and thanks for listening.

Customer Reviews
New favourite podcast
Came to hear about Jerome’s knockdown in the Atlantic and found so much more than a sailing podcast.
Musings on the psychology of adventure and solitude, family connections, and some great book recommendations.
Some episodes are live accounts from the field, some are reflections afterwards, some are conversations with other people who like the tagline says, are ordinary people who have done extraordinary things. Makes the Earth seem both big and small at the same time.
Very inspiring but also just cozy to listen to. Looking forward to any future episodes! I haven’t read the book yet but look forward to that too.
