The creative process, the internal battles, the client struggles, the production drama, the never never giving up to get from good to great. There are loads of award-winning ideas pinned up all over our walls, but it’s the unbelievably uphill battle to get it made, and get it made right, that we are all dying to hear about.     When you can’t unsee it [w/ Geoff Baillie & Zachary Bautista]

    Zach and Geoff get saucy and share the stories behind iconic campaigns like Heinz “Draw Ketchup” and “Can’t Unsee it” with Deadpool. ABOUT OUR GUESTS: Geoff Baillie is a Group Creative Director at Rethink, where he started as an intern in 2018. He’s led work for brands like IKEA, Molson Coors and Heinz—including campaigns like Draw Ketchup, Heinz Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch, and the Heinz x Marvel Studios collaboration Can’t Unsee It. His work has been featured on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Drew Barrymore Show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, in marketing books like Hey Whipple Squeeze This and Pearson’s Fundamentals of Marketing textbook. Geoff’s campaigns have been recognized at every major international award show. He was named to AdAge’s 40 Under 40, The One Club’s Young Guns Under 30 competition, and AdAge’s Creative Team of the Year. He was also ranked Canada’s #1 copywriter in 2022, 2023, and 2025 by Strategy Magazine. He has taught at Miami Ad School Toronto, and guest lectured at Humber and McMaster. He also likes to read, play music, and play golf badly. He lives in Toronto with his girlfriend and cat Diego. He recently broke his tibia jumping over a fence.   Zachary Bautista is a Partner, Group Creative Director at Rethink. From art school dropout to one of the most consistently recognized creatives in Canada, his work has been awarded at every major international award show from Cannes to Clios with acclaim from figures like Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore, and headlines on publications like CNN and FastCompany. Zach was ranked the #1 Art Director back-to-back-to-back-to-back in Strategy Magazine’s Creative Report Card for 2022-2025. He was among AdAge’s 40 Under 40 in 2021 and the only Canadian on the list. You can find his work on a billboard near you or in the 6th Edition of Hey Whipple Squeeze This along with Pearson’s Fundamentals of Marketing Textbook. In addition to his impassioned dedication as an industry mentor, Zach was a recurring instructor at Miami Ad School in Toronto. In his role as teacher he has elevated the talents of up-and-coming art directors and copywriters. His approach to his students is teaching peers to become future co-workers. Zach spends most of his money on sports memorabilia. He spends most of his time making money to afford sports memorabilia.     When designers get tattoos [w/ Léo Breton-Allaire & Ugo Varin Lachapelle]

    Ugo and Léo reveal how they turned their youthful skateboard years into a (two time winning) design studio of the year. Hear about the Montreal design scene, the FORUM festival they launched, and getting inked.   ABOUT OUR GUESTS: Léo Breton-Allaire and Ugo Varin Lachapelle are Partners & Creative Directors at Caserne. Léo is partner and creative director at Caserne. His role involves guiding teams and clients through identity-focused and applied design exercises. He has actively contributed to shaping brands both locally and internationally, including the Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR), Moment Factory, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (MBAM), the Montreal Museum of Contemporary Art (MAC), Adisq, Orage, 2K Games, and many others. Over the past 12 years, his work has earned more than a hundred and fifty awards in various national and international competitions, including Art Directors Club, Type Directors Club, Dieline, Communication Arts, Advertising and Design Club of Canada, Applied Arts, and Idéa. Léo has participated in design workshops and conferences, such as Adobe Live in San Francisco, RDV Design and The Open House. In 2022, he chaired the design jury for Idéa Awards and co-founded Forum, an annual event dedicated to graphic design, featuring renowned international speakers such as Mirko Borsche, Elizabeth Goodspeed, and Andrea A. Trabucco Campos. In 2023 and 2024, Caserne was named ADCC Design Studio of the Year two years in a row, further solidifying its reputation for excellence in design. In 2024, Léo’s profile was selected for Parcours, an exhibition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the UQAM School of Design, which highlighted 50 graduates from the school since its founding in 1974. That same year, Léo was honored with the TDC Ascenders Award by The One Show in New York. The award recognizes emerging talent, with winners joining the prestigious and exclusive Type Directors Club—an esteemed community of creatives at the pinnacle of their craft. Ugo is a passionate designer with an unwavering commitment to crafting at scale. He stands out for his strong design expertise and unwavering commitment to excellence. He co-founded Caserne in 2012 and now leads the studio alongside Léo Breton-Allaire and Sébastien Paradis. He has served on numerous design competition juries and has won over a hundred awards for his work. He is also the co-founder of FORUM, a design event. Held annually in Montreal, it brings together designers and artists on a mission to network, educate, and create. Ali Willa Milner Grammy nominated and multi-Juno Award winning songwriter Ali Willa Milner has led many lives, all deeply connected to music and voice. For years, Ali worked as an artist (under the moniker ‘Willa’), as a songwriter for herself and others, and as a voice actor (film, TV, advertising and animation).At Berklee College of Music in Boston, she learned how to sharpen the lyrics, concept, and melody of any writing room. She has written for many artists (Ryan Guldemond of Mother Mother, One Republic’s John Nathaniel, Babyface, The Knocks, Now United and more) and was nominated for her first Grammy as a songwriter in 2022. As a songwriter, she was part of 6 nominations at the 2024 Juno Awards and won Songwriter of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year. She was nominated for Billboard Canada's Non-Performing Songwriter Of The Year for her work in 2024. She was also nominated for the Canadian Songwriters Hall Of Fame Breakthrough Songwriter Award in 2024.She has had equal success in voice acting (My Little Pony, Rogers, Chevrolet, McCafe, Canadian Tire, Nissan, BMO, AMEX, OLG and more) with a lead role in an upcoming animated feature coming in 2026.Ali’s extensive experience in these worlds has provided great success in her commercial directing career at Grayson Music Group. She’s since helmed projects for Subway, Visa, TD, Kia, Scotiabank, and more. She has an innate ability to work with any talent to bring the message to life in a fresh way, and is exceptionally skilled at leading a room and guiding a project’s sonic identity. Sabaa was previously the Chief Creative and Innovation Officer at Cossette. Sabaa is a career entrepreneur and has worked with marketing and technology teams in over a dozen countries. He is a frequent keynote speaker and an industry advisor to business and creative schools, specializing in creativity, entrepreneurship, and business model innovation. Sabaa has led, co-chaired, and been a member of over 20 national and international marketing and short film juries. For Canada, Sabaa sits on the Cannes Lions Advisory Board and is the current Digital Young Lions co-chair.     Francesco (Fran, if you’re buds) on his ascension from lowly intern at Ogilvy to the CCO throne. Plus, the Dove campaigns he’s worked on for the last 2 decades.   ABOUT OUR GUEST: Francesco is an internationally-recognized, Emmy nominated, Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Canada where he leads the Toronto and Montreal office. He is Ogilvy’s highest ranked CCO in the world. Prior to his current role, he has worked his way across the globe from Chicago, Toronto, Amsterdam, London, and back to Toronto. He has led some of the most iconic brands in the world, such as Netflix, Guinness, Uber, Samsung and Dove, where his back-to-back “Toxic Influence” and “Cost of Beauty” campaigns both became the most shared and most awarded in the brand’s history. This catapulted Dove to 2nd at the Cannes Lions Brand of the Year rankings, and Unilever as coveted Creative Marketer of the Year.
