Closing the First Chapter: Taking Chances

What a year it has been! We noticed some major themes in our episodes over this past year – this was our chance to review and discuss the fascinating conversations we’ve had about men’s mental health, trauma, family dynamics and parenting, women’s mental health, and mental health support. We also discussed our hopes for the next chapter of the podcast.  Most importantly, we decided to practice what we preach in encouraging others to be vulnerable and courageous; in that spirit, we share something exciting at the end of this episode! Thank you to all of our listeners for your continued support. We look forward to 2022! There will always be limits to what we can do on our own when it comes to mental health. And while we can give you tools and strategies, we know that they will not always work for everyone. there is value in telling your story and being heard. If you have tried the strategies we discussed and you're still feeling stuck, please reach out to us at Simply Counselling Services. Thank you again for joining us and we are looking forward to our next time together. Take care of yourself.

Is it possible for psychology and spirituality to coexist? The lines blur when a person seeks spiritual support; which often looks like counselling. Evan shares his perspective on navigating this boundary, as a Pastor.  This conversation spurs some of our reflections about the pandemic. It goes without saying, life has been challenging. We explore a daring idea: could positivity and hope come from our pandemic experiences? We close this episode with Christin and Evan’s inspiring and surprising story of growing and establishing their family in the face of fertility struggles and the adoption process.  Follow us: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thesimplyjennapodcast/ Facebook: www.facebook.com/thesimplyjennapodcast LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/simply-jenna Twitter: https://twitter.com/thesimplyjenna *** While this podcast will give you strategies to use in your life, it is certainly not a replacement for attending therapy or seeking your own support.
