Skeptoid

Brian Dunning is an excellent podcast host, quite knowledgeable and witty in a sardonic way. He suffers no fools gladly. My only issue is this show so thoroughly debunks popular misconceptions and urban legends that it will ruin every fun topic like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster with logic and reason! Those childhood loves will not pass the Skeptoid sniff test, so beware 😄.

Do you want a podcast that claims to be skeptical but is only there for confirmation bias? Do you want to be told that the “official story” is correct? Do you want someone to tell you that it’s okay to ignore anything that contradicts an approved narrative because surely the people in charge always get things right? Then this is the podcast for you! Why allow your intellect to be challenged when you can simply listen to someone repeat the same stories you’ve already been told, whether they’re accurate or not. Do not recommend. Being a critical thinker is far superior to listening to this drivel.

I thought I would listen to Brian Dunning explain in one of his episodes his counterpoint against the argument of someone he feels is a sceptic. But he provided no evidence to the contrary, and to me, is speaking in a manner of which I would expect from a pseudo scientist. Dramatic speech patterns, sarcasm, flippant remarks, flat out, simply saying something just isn’t true because he said so. Sounds like pseudoscience and a way for Bryan to make money. Which has a venture capitalist is what he likes to do.

Get to the point, get rid of all the unnecessary bumpers. Consider a more conversational medium. What you do is important but you make it hard to listen to sometimes.
