Hosted by Todd (in the Shadows) Nathanson and SyFy's Dany Roth, Song vs. Song pits two similar songs of an era against each other with controversial outcomes.
50: "Celebration" vs. "All Night Long (All Night)"
We may all be trapped in our houses but that doesn't mean we can't party like we're at the lamest wedding reception of all time! Let us get on the floor and decide which lightly-funky early '80s party jam is superior, Kool & the Gang's "Celebration" or Lionel Richie's "All Night Long (All Night)"!
49: "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" vs. "The Book of Love"
Song vs. Song goes hipster! We welcome back Billboard editor Andrew Unterberger to discuss two of the late '90s giants of indie rock! Which mopey acoustic love song shall reign supreme, "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel or "The Book of Love" by The Magnetic Fields?
48: "Ghostbusters" vs. "Men in Black"
It's Halloween and that means it's time for every appropriately-distanced Halloween gathering to play "Ghostbusters"! But: Is it superior to the other ridiculous just-the-plot-of-the-movie action comedy theme song, Will Smith's "Men in Black"? Who ya gonna call? Woo, ha ha!
47: "Dirt Road Anthem" vs. "Cruise" (w/Grady Smith!)
Todd and Dany welcome country music expert Grady Smith to discuss the whipping boy genre of the 2010s, bro-country! Is there anything redeemable about this controversial genre, and which of its towering, game-changing early '10s smashes is the defining song of its moment, Jason Aldean's "Dirt Road Anthem" or Florida Georgia Line's "Cruise"?
46: "California Love" vs. "Mo Money, Mo Problems"
A Song vs. Song for the ages! A rap battle etched into history! Though 2Pac and Biggie were taken from us too early, we can now settle the beef by deciding which of their signature tunes was the greatest, "California Love" or "Mo Money Mo Problems"!
45: "Stay (I Missed You)" vs. "Torn"
It wouldn't be the '90s without some gently earnest female pop-rock! Whose wistful breakup ballad ruled the decade, Lisa Loeb's "Stay (I Missed You)" or Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn"?

Great to listen to, interesting commentary on songs.
A moderate success but nothing especially important.
Two stars for Todd, whom I’ve followed and watched for a decade now. This platform is a great place for him to continue to talk about music. He’s a great reviewer of a medium that is hard to review.
The same cannot be said for his co-host, who is whiny, adds nothing but empty, overly emotional anecdotes, swears like a child with a otherwise limited vocabulary and fails to explain what exactly he brings to this because it certainly isn’t anything to do with music, which he barely if ever talks about (no doubt he will find this critical review too sensitive).
As a bonus, his voice is shrill and pitchy and takes over the conversations far too often which is rude.
If you have been a true of TITS, this podcast is for you but take it with a grain of salt.
Love Todd’s youtube channel, so I’m excited to hear more from him. Already hooked after one episode.
