StarTripper!!

This show is a delight to listen to, with serialized plots that are just the right amount of ridiculous! The narrator, Feston is hilarious to listen to, and this show just makes me so happy to listen to! It won’t break your heart, and I recommend it highly!! Edit: I re-listened to this podcast when the second season came out, and one thing that I love so much about this podcast is that its’s focused on the joy of life, not angst or drama. Feston is hunting down happiness in each episode, and characters aren’t mean to each other.

Oh my goodness, this is exceptionally fun in all the ways you never knew you needed. I admit, I started with some trepidation, thinking this would be too frothy, too silly to catch my interest. But by the second episode, I was hooked! There's something so joyous in Feston's journey, accompanied by one of the best AIs ever in sci-fi, so invested in throwing themselves into any adventure no matter the size - it's addictive and irresistible, and I can't wait for more!

Startripper!! is the most wholesome, funniest, and upbeat romp through space you could ever ask for. Adventure and nonsense go hand-in-hand and this show is a perfect representation of what comedic fiction storytelling can be. Every episode hooks you and keeps you invested in the adventure and characters, despite often only seeing the side-characters for that single episode. The main characters (Feston & his ship AI) are written and acted in the way that makes you want more of their stories. If you ever need cheering up, this is the podcast for you. I can't wait for season 2. As always, The Whisperforge has knocked it out of the park with this one.

SciFi writers tend to focus on the dark side of everything. Festin’s enthusiastic, naive sense of adventure is welcome change. Who says space travel won’t be an exciting and freeing adventure? It just plain makes me smile, and I look forward to every episode!
