In their own right, both those events would be enough to knock anyone off their axis. Her channel boasts over 270k subscribers and she’s been featured in publications such as Apartment Therapy and Domino. However, YouTube wasn’t her first, second, or even 100th career choice. Fresh out of school, Alexandra landed what felt like a dream job at a magazine.     Carla was no stranger to life’s curveballs, having survived many in her younger years. No matter what never let anything stop her from chasing her dream of becoming a schoolteacher — and she was, as she describes, “one of the lucky ones” who landed a competitive permanent position at a school board.
