From Executive Producer Patrick Hinds and the Obsessed Network comes a new podcast about all the things that make us wonder. Each week, we’ll tell you a true story that will fascinate and terrify you: a family who receive letters from a “Watcher” after moving into their new house, a hotel that’s seen so much death that it has to be cursed, UFO encounters, hauntings, Bigfoot sightings, and so much more. Written and hosted by Tony Award-winning actor and celebrated writer Daisy Eagan, “Strange and Unexplained” is a journey into the uncomfortable and the unknowable that will leave you both laughing and sleeping with the lights on.

Someone Else's Memory
What is memory? The Oxford English Dictionary defines memory as the faculty by which the mind stores and remembers information. Or something remembered from the past; a recollection. But the OED doesn’t weigh in on the factual accuracy of those recollections, nor does it mention how or where memories are stored. Our current understanding is that they form and are stored in our brains. Our brains after all are the motherboards of our bodies, but what if memories could also live somewhere else within us?

The Lincoln Ghost Train
Grief is a powerful thing. It's extremely personal and can make us act in ways unforeseen. So what happens when an entire nation experiences a loss, as they did in 1865 when President Lincoln was assassinated? The powers that were at the time decided to give the people an outlet for their grief with a small tour of part of the country featuring their dead president. It would be known as the Lincoln Ghost Train, which would serve as a public display of grief and all of it's strange and unexplained forms.

The Fox Sisters: Part 2
In the mid 1800s, Maggie and Kate Fox convinced the world that they could communicate with the dead. And, for a fee, they'd communicate with your dead through a séance. The sisters became so famous for their private, as well as public, readings, that an entire new religion--Spiritualism--was ushered in to make sense (and profits) of it all. It was all going so well. The were rich and world famous. What could possibly go wrong?

The Fox Sisters: Part 1
The human urge to believe in something bigger than ourselves, to search for answers from above or beyond can go awry. And throughout history, it has. One such example took two girls and their followers on a whirlwind journey that would leave a mark and make for a fantastic story.

Great topics
I find the topics so interesting and enjoy Daisy’s perspective but have a really hard time with the voice actors. I find they make it difficult to enjoy and really follow the story Daisy is telling, they take me out of it and take away from the episode.
Awesome
This podcast is my favourite. Daisy is snarky in the best way. I love how she tells the stories. You can just tell she is intelligent and informed on a wide range of topics. I’m so glad Patrick got her to do this. I’ve re-listened to most of the episodes more times than I can count.
A great way to be entertained
Daisy is super easy and fun to listen to! I caught up on all the episodes over the last few months. Fun content and easy listening. I laugh out loud as a result of Daisy’s sarcasm.
