    Welcome to a heartfelt conversation about motherhood, identity, and community, inspired by Makings of a Voice, a theatrical song cycle to be streamed online by SkirtsAfire in March 2021.   You'll hear from these four panelists in a conversation moderated by Karen Unland: Dr. Wanda Costen, dean of the School of Business at MacEwan University and this year’s Honorary Skirt;Dana Wylie, the writer and performer of Makings of a Voice;Director Vanessa Sabourin;Cellist Christine Hanson.Special thanks to Dana Wylie for the use of "Cry Out," one of the songs featured in Makings of a Voice. This is the first episode in our Conversations series, which will share discussions that we've had the pleasure of participating in, using our power to make them available to a wider audience. This is also part of a cross-promotional collaboration with SkirtsAfire to promote our People's Agenda project, which seeks to find out what Edmontonians want candidates for city council to be talking about as they compete for votes in the 2021 municipal election campaign.
