EP 149: Food Supply # 5 | It's complicated: will ESG investments control food, is oil renewable, worldview & more on Bill Gates

Investors with trillions of dollars and nothing to do with farming could end up controlling how food is produced start, to finish. More Bill Gates shenanigans... the guy will develop a vaccine for absolutely everything. Is oil actually a finite resource? Everything we have currently was developed from resources we've always had... think about it and more from White Oak Pastures.

This final episode of our 5 part series on Food Supply solidifies the complexity of the topic as we hash out our thoughts with you.

EP 148: Food Supply # 4 | What's in your Milk? Hormones, Homogenization, Government Production Quotas & Knowing your Farmer

EP 148: Food Supply # 4 | What's in your Milk? Hormones, Homogenization, Government Production Quotas & Knowing your Farmer

Today we talk to the owners of 2 dairy farms - a raw milk micro dairy in Tennessee & an organic dairy farmer and cheese processor in BC, Canada. We invited a conventional dairy farmer to add perspective, but they declined.

There’s a lot of buzz on the internet about raw milk but that’s not the whole story. We explain pasteurization, homogenization, nutritional value, how cows are fed & we discuss hormone use.

In this series, we’re taking you deep into the complicated world of your food supply. Whether it’s a steak, salad or slice of bread… there’s a lot happening in the process of getting what you eat to your table and you should know about it. Who owns the farmland? Who is growing your food? Do we have a secure food supply, is our food safe and are we stewarding the land and animals well in the process? In this 5-part series we’re pulling back the curtain and answering those questions.

EP 147: Food Supply # 3 | Why is Bill Gates the Largest Farmland Owner? A Lender, a Legislator, and a Farmer Discuss

You’ve likely heard that Bill Gates is the largest farmland owner in the USA. That creates a lot of buzz and, quite frankly, it scares people. But that’s usually where the conversation ends. In this episode, we cover the barriers to people actually farming the land and hanging onto it.

Today we talk to Natasha Cox, the regional Vice President of farm Credit mid-America, Rita’s husband, Levi Rogers, who is a 6th generation farmer, and Mary Miller a United States Congresswoman. We get into farmland prices, taxation, the climate agenda, China, and foreign-owned land.

EP 146: Food Supply # 2 | Foreign Beef, Deceptive Marketing and mRNA with Bill Bullard of R-Calf & Rich Brazil, DVM

EP 146: Food Supply # 2 | Foreign Beef, Deceptive Marketing and mRNA with Bill Bullard of R-Calf & Rich Brazil, DVM

Today we talk to the Bill Bullard - the CEO of R-Calf. R-CALF USA is the largest producer-only membership-based organization that exclusively represents U.S. cattle and sheep producers on domestic and international trade and marketing issues and Rich Brazil a long-time large animal veterinarian.

We cover what’s in your food: Is it safe? Is the information even available for you to make that determination? And as for the information that is available to you - is it accurate or deceptive? Bill gives us excellent insight into meat imports, labeling, the consolidation of meat production in America & the dangers of it.

Rich explains the shady nature of the green agenda as applied to ranching, tapping into the potential of ulterior motives. We know people have concerns about mRNA vaccine usage in meat animals they’ll eventually consume. We cover this in a way that allows you to be the decision maker.

EP 145: Food Supply # 1 | Regenerative Farming & the Climate Agenda with Jason Rowntree of MSU & Will Harris of White Oak Pastures

We’re taking you deep into the complicated world of your food supply. Whether it’s a steak, salad or slice of bread… there’s a lot happening in the process of getting what you eat to your table and you should know about it.

Regenerative farming is a catching phrase. It sounds wonderful but what does it mean? And walked out, what does it actually look like for both farmers and consumers? In this opening episode we first talk to Jason Rountree, a professor of Animal Science at Michigan State University, where he is the Charles Stewart Mott Distinguished Professor for Sustainable Agriculture. Next, we speak to the well-known regenerative farmer Will Harris of White Oak Pastures.

We get into food production, and subsequently, the healthfulness and quality of our food… what it all ideally would look like and where farming (again, ideally) is moving. But every ideal has challenges. You’ll find this topic is no doubt a complex one. This first episode strikes a chord on many themes that will be discussed throughout the entire 5-week series… don’t miss an episode.

Love listening!

Ladies! Your podcast is one I look forward to! I’m from BC, but I first followed Rita on instagram during the beginning of Covid. Thank you for all you do and for feeding my spirit with your God-given insights 🙏.
If you can, please check out my new children’s book. It’s titled “In His Image” and I’m donating 20% of the royalties to pregnancy centres that help mothers before and after pregnancy. I’ve created an instagram account for the book @inhisimagebook.

Again thank you! Thank you! And May God bless you two! ❤️

Excellent podcasts

Have really enjoyed all the episodes I’ve listened to. As a matter of fact, I spoke with my doctor about the episode where you spoke about raw, whole milk. He said it’s true and that we need to change our thinking about what we’re eating and drinking.
