Outdated ideas which are based on no actual facts. Possibly just rambling on to hear his mediocre points that add no value.
No nonsense, practical guidance…and hilarious

Overall this podcast sends a good message about managing personal finances and relationships when it comes to finances. Dave spent a lot of time calling his millionaire survey “scientific research” while not understanding what a scientific research is. It was a good survey but one cannot ignore the fact that the sample is gathered by consumers of Ramsey material. That doesn’t represent everyone. Still an insightful survey but definitely not research. It encourages mistrust in government. Sometimes they explain why, other times they don’t. There is definitely a strong bias present. Slight discouragement to users for getting higher education. Sometimes they like to create drama where it’s not present. For example during the May 28 episode the hosts were saying the caller’s wife lied and cheated by the way of financial infidelity. Even though the caller said that was not her intent. It seemed quite obvious they had simply not discussed finances until the second year of their marriage. The hosts admit and guide when a person needs more resources to help with finances but not when they need help with mental health. This is despite the fact that give relationship advice and one of the hosts is a mental health professional and advertised as such. They will tell the caller they need to see a tax specialist, insurance broker, financial advisor etc. but never a psychologist. Sometimes it’s clear the person is struggling with mental health issues which is preventing them from getting their financial situation right. The hosts simply never admit that their answer can be wrong or insufficient in any scenario. This leads to unrealistic advice for example sell your vehicles, work three jobs, as an advice to someone with children.
