We kickoff this month's episode with a super fun cameo from our friend and Cardinal Contributing Writer, Danielle Gannon of Local Spotlight With Danielle. She is also behind the Newtown Cardinal section which is now in month three. Together, we recap all the local Doylestown and Newtown happenings in November. Though they are both classic small towns in their own ways, Doylestown and Newtown have so much in common and truly are ever-expanding. We agree that both deserve some more cross pollination --- pun intended to introduce our guests... Ailsa Coughlan & Brad Berry of Love Grows CSA. They two ecologically sensitive vegetable growers in Feasterville, PA and a real life couple! It is their mission to grow a more peaceful, meaningful and productive existence for themselves and community. After visiting here, Doylestown was the only place to go for them! It felt like home after an only-in-doylestown turn of events (which you will hear in this episode, involves Harvey Ave, a Subaru Forester, and a perfect fall day...). They decided alongside their partner Jeff at the Jim Thorpe-based, The Current, that Doylestown was missing that “sweet local newspaper”. And so, they created it themselves.     In celebration of the Doylestown Cardinal's FIRST birthday, we welcome you to our first ever Doylestown Cardinal Podcast. Your hosts and frequent Cardinal Contributors, Dana Roberts + Colin Kirts, will give you a monthly rundown of the happenings around Bucks County and feature special guest interviews to bring you even closer in the know. With Doylestown Arts Fest right around the corner, we couldn't think of a better first guest than Volunteer Co-Director of the festivities, Paul Boger. For 7 years, Paul has rallied along with so many volunteers to bring our town's Arts Festival to new audiences. The two day event happens on Sat + Sun 9/10 and 9/11 with hundreds of artists, multiple stages of live music, vendors, and so much more.
