2.3 Roua Adam: Coming Home to Myself

This conversation with Roua was “Mad and Radical” just like how she described herself. It was about us two Sudanese women critically and madly addressing what we went through in our community.  I wish I can have more conversations like this with every Sudani woman and with Roua specifically a soul mate that I found recently. Thank you Roua 🥰 ———————————————  Roua is a writer, poet, content creator, and change maker. Right before the war in Sudan broke out in April 2023, Roua decided to change her life and pursue a different lifestyle. When the war started, she was propelled to look within further and find new ways to express her freedom and individuality. She has found freedom in various forms of expression, including writing, dancing, drumming, and many more allowing her to create the change she wants to see in the world. 2.2 Sun Yi: Facing my Shadow; Part 1

I recorded this episode a year ago with @sun.yi, publishing it was another milestone I needed to cross because 1. I wanted to be perfect in editing to publish it so I impress my mentor 2. Selfishly, I wanted to keep it to myself, I was in disbelief that Sun Yi actually agreed to be a guest after one month of knowing him 🥹 Then I had an aha moment, Sun will always be impressed by showing up messy and showing your work while you’re improving it. Also, the world need to see @sun.yi love for @_gigizhang_ and how their relationship strengthens their personalities and life quality.  Sun I appreciate you for teaching us storytelling along with all the hidden gems at Night Owl Nation, thank you for showing us your authentic self —————————————  Sun Yi is the founder of Night Owls and Night Owl Nation, Entrepreneur, Personal Branding Expert, Storyteller, TEDx Speaker, Mentor, Podcaster of Authentic As F*ck podcast ‪@SunYiCo‬ and Forbes Agency Council Member. 2.1. Modathir Zainalabdeen: One Person

Modathir is your regular sudanese man, grew up surrounded by love and support. He did well in school got into the university and graduated to get a successful job. And like millions of other sudanese youths, he went out on the streets in 2019 and participated in the sit-in to overthrow Omer Al Bashir who ruled us for 30 years. A regular story, Right? At least for us sudani folks.  This past year, Modathir found himself pulled by duty again to start sharing and talking about thr current genocide in Sudan, he started in hopes bigger platforms would notice and share. However, he ended carrying the burden of reporting Sudan news to the public and to us Sudani folks.  In this episode we dive into Modathir childhood and youth years in Sudan. This episode is full of nostalgia and longing for Sudan as well as harsh realities, watch with care and love. Support Modathir by following him and sharing his hard work.  Support Sudan by donating and by educating yourself about the obvious truth of the current events that is ruining millions of Sudanese lives.  Follow Modathir: IG: https://www.instagram.com/modathirzainalabdeen?igsh=MWFvZ2ptNjN2cHRlMw== TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@modathirzainalabdeen?_t=8njzt2lYwU6&_r=1 Youtube: https://youtube.com/@modathirzainalabdeen?si=2PCswFG4iBKMFAh1 ______________________________ I am a Sudanese-Canadian screenwriter, podcast host of “The lemon Narrative with Sabreen” and the Director of Marketing for Muslim Literary Festival (MLF 2024).  Follow me and listen to my podcast to enjoy these stories.
