    The Liberty Yell #133: FLYERS OFFER-SHEET LEO CARLSSON

    Danny Briere and the Philadelphia Flyers have decided to drop a news bomb on us on July 3rd, 2026. They have officially signed Anaheim Ducks star center Leo Carlsson to a 5-year $90 million offer sheet that's worth $18M a year, and heavily front-loaded with bonuses. A ground-breaking move from Briere that would make the 21-year-old star the highest-paid player in the NHL. The Anaheim Ducks have 7 days to match or not match, and the boys over here at TLY break down both avenues.  On this MUST-LISTEN Episode 133 of The Liberty Yell, we break down the move from every angle.     The Liberty Yell #132: ALL IN ON MAKSIM; FLYERS IN ON EVERYONE?!

    We are back with Episode 132, and there is a ton to talk about. The 2026 NHL draft is officially in the books, and the boys go over the Maksim Sokolovskii pick at 27 and some of the traits we love from the tall defenseman. We also go over the Brek Liske pick and how he's more than just a Flyers fan who was picked in the 2nd round.    Is the Flyers' overall draft strategy something you think will work? We discuss the decision to drop back in the 1st round for more capital and the emphasis on size and defensive projects. Why did they pass on two extremely talented offensive defenseman in Villenueve and Bleyl? We hand out our grades, discuss the "size vs skill" debate, and look at how this class fits the current #8 (Wheeler) prospect pool.    Finally, we got hit with Zach Werenski declining a trade to Dallas midway through the podcast.     The Liberty Yell #131: Draft Day Looming & The June 23rd Trade Explosion

    The Liberty Yell is back for Episode 131! With the fanbase (and me) having some fun with the Flyers trade history on June 23rd, other teams throughout the NHL decided to join in on the fun and cause some chaos! And I'm here to break down all the trades that have happened since the June 16th Joseph Woll to Philadelphia trade.    I kicked things off by going over the funny (and ironic) graphic my edit guy, Johnny, made for National June 23rd Flyers Trade Day. Brayden Schenn for Morgan Frost, Jori Lehtera, and Joel Farabee on 2017 draft day? Memories. Then we dive into the sheer amount of trades from OTHER NHL teams on the Flyers day... Simon Nemec to CGY, William Eklund to Ottawa, Jordan Kyrou to Washington, and Bo Byram to Chicago. We also get into who I like for the Flyers, with where they SHOULD be drafting (21st overall). Maddox Dagenais, Xavier Villeneuve, Tommy Bleyl, Ilia Morozov, Alexander Command, or Elon Hermansson? Could Malte Gustafasson fall? I talk about it at length!    Garnet Hathaway to the Panthers, Jason Robertson saying no to Seattle and St. Louis tonight, and Mason McTavish getting closed on by the Rangers or Blues.     The Liberty Yell #130: Joseph Woll is a Flyer; More To Come?

    MOVEMENT HAS HAPPENED. The Philadelphia Flyers kicked off the post-cup handout with a trade!   On Episode 130, we break down the move that sent Sam Ersson, Emil Andrae, and a 3rd roud pick in 2026 to Toronto for Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit. We analyze the outlook for the future of the defense and why there could be more movement coming soon. We talk about how Danny might have just created one of the better goalie tandems in the league if Joseph Woll can stay healthy and Dan Vladar can look like 75% of the guy he was last year.  Plus, we preview the NHL draft and the prospects that could be available when the Flyers are up to draft.     The Liberty Yell #129: Dylan Larkin Trade Request Takes Center Stage: Should The Flyers Pull The Trigger?

    We went deep into the Dylan Larkin discussion in Episode 129 of The Liberty Yell. We broke down what a realistic trade could be for the almost 30-year-old center, whether it makes sense for the Flyers right now, and how he would fit in with the team. We compared Larkin head-to-head with other (younger) center options the Flyers could potentially look at via trade in Matty Beniers, Mason McTavish, and Shane Wright.    We touched a tad on the John Carlson rumors and what we would be willing to pay for the 36-year-old's services, bridging a gap with younger defenseman on the team like David Jiricek and Oliver B**k. Is it fair to expect Carlson to come in here and fix an extremely broken PP? Are they one guy away?
