The Monster's Playbook is an actual play Monster of the Week RPG podcast where the real world crashes into the paranormal over and over and over again. And where no monster can hurt you as much you hurt yourself.
Set in Minneapolis, MN, our current campaign (The Cover Story) follows the exploits of journalist and ex-cultist Kira Ashwood, supernatural social outcast Mark Clayton, Special Agent Casey Davis, and professional sorceress Theo Nessos as they battle monsters threatening the city.

Ghosts of the Past Pt. 1 - Treasure Machine (S3E19)
The thing about prophecies is you can never be sure if you're better off ignoring them or obeying them. The team decides to split the difference and investigate some mysteries. Can we get in touch with Ember? Can we track down the Heat Sink to stave off the apocalypse? And can we learn anything else from the catchy little ditty we heard by that robot from the future?

Customer Reviews
A Monstrously Good Time
It is always tricky to get the audience onboard to a game when you've already been playing it for some time, but this podcast does an amazing job of it. The audio drama special where they recap their first season is a tremendous help and very well done! The show itself is filled with fast paced story and an assortment of characters that are already fleshed out and ready to come to life. The music for the show is fantastic and really helps give the story even more life. Definitely recommend this show if you are a fan of Monster of the Week shows and the game itself.
