Unless you can handle two conversations going on at the same volume at the same time, this podcast won’t work for you sometimes there’s even music layered over, and it’s all at the same volume. If this podcast was a room, I’d have made the fastest Irish exit in world history.
I’m sure there was a well meaning creative concept behind this “collage of sound,” mm but it doesn’t work. A collage is a combination of elements that tie together a larger theme. We can pull each element out and appreciate it as a whole before placing it back into the context for a larger experience. In the podcast, no one sound element is given enough focus to make it clearly identifiable, and with neither detail nor context, all we’re left with is an impenetrable wall of noise.
