What comes to mind when you think of American culture? The Parker Edison Project works to expand the cliché answer to that question. It's a podcast that zooms way in on what really makes a culture — food, music, style, sex, fashion and more. Join host and co-creator Parker Edison for insightful conversations about creativity and community, all through the lens of Black America. This is the Parker Edison Project, a sonic exploration of culture as a lifestyle, where each episode starts with a thought-provoking talk and ends with a musical bang.

A Voracious and Engaged Look at Contemporary Culture
Loving the Parker Edison Project… As a homegrown San Diegan who has been way for so so long I really appreciate seeing the city’s contemporary culture as filtered through Parker’s mind. An enthusiastic and contemplative host, Parker consistently brings out surprising insights from his guests. This kind of intimate look at our rich cultural history and diverse community couldn’t come at a better time. Some of my fave moments from season one included a look at the little-known story of black-owned radio stations broadcasting from Mexico, San Diego rap history, and lots of personal moments from the host, producers, and guests. Looking forward to season 2!
