Bryce and Omari share their top 10 big boards, and break down how each may work with the Pistons next season. Would Dalton Knecht be an ideal fit next to Cade Cunningham? Is Reed Sheppard efficient enough to overlook his small stature? Should Donovan Clingan be a top 5 pick? Is Alex Sarr a lock at number 1? The guys answer all of these and more as we prepare for an incredibly important draft this offseason.

How do we feel about our Detroit Pistons New Year's resolutions now?

How do we feel about our Detroit Pistons New Year's resolutions now?

The guys open the pod this week with a rap beef that seems to lack real meat, the controversial foul call in the UConn vs. Iowa, and Malachi Flynn's 50-point game. Later in the pod, Bryce and Omari revisit the areas of improvement they wanted to see most from the team roster at the beginning of the year. The guys sort through what they got right and what hasn't aged well, including Cade's health, Duren's injury prevention, Ausar's jump shot, Ivey's shooting efficiency and Sasser's role on the team.

Answering what could be next for Detroit Pistons in another listener mailbag!

Answering what could be next for Detroit Pistons in another listener mailbag!

After a somewhat tumultuous travel day to Georgia, Omari joins Bryce from the road in Atlanta to answer your listener questions. What's the likelihood Cade Cunningham would ask to be traded if things continue poorly for the team? Is the Cade/Jaden Ivey combination still feasible? Which G League player is likely to be on the roster next year? Who's available for a big off-season trade? What kind of lottery draft pick trades could the team make? The guys aim to answer these questions and more in this near end-of-season mailbag episode.

Gauging Jaden Ivey’s growth vs. regression, March Madness standouts, and potential draft candidates

Gauging Jaden Ivey’s growth vs. regression, March Madness standouts, and potential draft candidates

As the season begins to wind down, Bryce and Omari continue the conversation on Jaden Ivey's playing prowess. The guys hone in on Ivey's peculiar decision-making on three-point shooting and his diminishing efficiency post All-Star break. Also, with some players seemingly being shut down for the season, the guys break down what they hope to see within the last stretch of games and discuss if the team is in "full-blown tank mode." Later, Bryce and Omari talk player highlights from March Madness so far and potential impacts on the draft. To close out the show, Producer Wes hops on and challenges the guys to another round "Sheed or Sham."

Crazy for Pistons is crazy

Hey folks, I’m Jon, your furthest fan in North America geographically. I write from northern Vancouver Island. I grew up near Detroit (South Windsor), have a Pistons logo tattooed on my back and stream every game. I enjoy your show and find it very helpful to better understand the things I see in games. But this year really sucks!

Omari you make recall I wrote you about how Saban Lee was actually good — and that night we went for 30 pts — and then you featured a story about him the next day. I found that satisfying, even if I was generally wrong.

What I’d like is two things. First about the Pistons. And second is how to cope with this year.

First. Monty Williams has a job, despite the team’s performance, so why not give Isaiah Livers and Marcus Sasser 10 shots each per night? Because neither of them seem to be in any sort of rhythm. And they are supposed to be shooters. Are they good or not? who knows? but neither have proven themselves. The message to them should be: play in flow, expect to hit buckets and have fun.

Second. Sometimes I get really irritated with all of this. Or feel sorry for myself. But instead of getting mad about Detoit basketball, I have changed the internal script. Anytime “Pistons” and “bad” enters my mind, I now think about improving my posture or fitness rather than dwell on this horrendous season. I know think of the 2023-2024 Pistons as a reminder to sit up or go outside (when the game is not on!)

That’s all!
