The Polymath Podcast is a space where people of various interests and knowledge connect, learn together and grow stronger in every facet of their lives. Polymaths are not too much, but they are all God created them to be. And on this platform we will steward every gift God has given to us. We will also explore different topics, all from a biblical standpoint as we seek to glorify God in all we do.

  1. Death & Humility

    Death & Humility

Death is one of the most crucial parts of life and while it is painful, it is necessary for growth and newness. Jesus demonstrated death and Humilty in His posture of servanthood. This led to God exalting Him and giving Him a name above all other name. That at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. While death is not desirable, if we allow ourselves to die to the carnal ways of the world, we will have position ourselves in a posture where God can promote and exalt us. This death is not the physically wasting away of someone, but the ability to relinquish control over the affairs of your life to fully submit to the will and ways of Jesus Christ. Pride hates death and Humilty because pride always wants to be the one glorified but the scripture in Matt 16:24 says: “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.” Serving Christ will cost us something and that's why Jesus admonishes us to carefully count the cost of being a disciple, because while it is the most important decision we will ever make, it also comes with the requirement to die to our fleshly desires and be resurrected to new life in Christ; one that is fully surrendered to Him As you listen in I pray this episode is a blessing to you, and if it is, feel free to follow the podcast, like and share it with families and friends. 2. The Isolation

    The Isolation

Nobody wants to go through isolation. Whether it is a God-induced isolation or an isolation based on your situation where people give up on you and leave you for dead, we can all agree that isolation does not feel good. But can I tell you that isolation (when ordained by God) is necessary for who is He is calling you to be. Isolation is that stage in the preserving greatness when the Lord pulls you away from the crowd to prune you. Many times most of us get so used to the noise of others opinions that we have forgotten the importance of God's desires for us. We are so used to the applause of others that sometimes our motives no longer derive from a place of authenticity but from outcome. Because the Lord wants us to remain pure, He will sometimes pull us away to redirect us back to what matters. No! Isolation is not punishment, it is actually an honor and privilege to be shut in with the Lord to learn of Him and for Him to teach us about ourselves. The Lord wants us to grow in intimate relationship with Him. He wants to build us so that He alone can get the glory. It is in the place of isolation that our spiritual senses are developed and heightened because we are now more accustomed to His voice. Isolation, though not desirable, is a necessary step in your elevation. Think about a sling shot, in order for it to propel forward you have to pull it back. That was the analogy the Lord gave me in 2020 when it felt like I was going back to square one. But then came 2021 and I was propelled forward like never before. If you are going through a season of God induced isolation remember that even Jesus was isolated for 40 days and 40 nights as He spent time in fasting and prayer connecting with The Father. Isolation, therefore is a season of preparation for your next level in God. As you listen in to this week's episode, I hope it is a blessing to you as it was to me. And if it is, please feel free to like and follow the podcast and don't forget to share it with a family or friend. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side.
