The Risen Fallen Podcast

Mark Henriksen

We ALL fall down, together we rise. Whether you’re going through dark days, or have dealt with them in the past, or perhaps maybe they have impacted someone you love, we have all been impacted by mental health struggles in some way, shape or form. No matter what it is that you are going through, life can and will get better for you. We have all felt that same feeling of being alone in this world, when the lights are all out, and nobody else is awake and all we have is the voice in our head. The feeling that even with our friends, family, coworkers, teammates, bosses, coaches, and peers around us, that we are alone in this fight, and in this world. THAT SPECIFIC FEELING IS WHAT CONNECTS US ALL. We are together alone. Not only will it get “better” but I truly believe you can find the greatness that resides within you, and that you’ll spread it to others as well. I find it interesting to speak with business owners, hard workers, and inspiring people about the challenges they have faced and how they‘ve overcome them. Based out of Vancouver, I find it important to speak about some of the difficult things in life, and to encourage others to feel happier and spread the love!

“Pointless” Conversations Matter | Blue Collar vs White Collar Coworkers | Ep. #180

B******t conversations aren’t a waste of time — they’re a reset.   In this episode of the Risen Fallen Podcast, I talk about why joking around, small talk, and meaningless conversations actually play a critical role in mental health, stress relief, and human connection. Whether it’s banter after a hard workout, laughing with coworkers, chatting with strangers, or messing around with your partner, these moments help us detach from pressure long enough to keep moving forward.   I also break down the stark difference between blue collar and white collar work culture: Blue collar coworkers may be brutally honest to your face, but they’re loyal, supportive, and willing to teach you how to succeed. White collar coworkers often communicate politely and professionally, yet hide blame, resentment, and competition behind fake smiles and corporate language.   This episode blends humour, hard truths, and lived experience to explore authenticity, connection, and why honesty — even when it’s uncomfortable — matters more than polished words. If you’ve ever questioned workplace culture, fake positivity, or the role of humour in surviving life’s stress, this conversation will hit home.   If you liked the show, help it grow!   Leave a review and rate 5 stars on Apple Podcast, and Spotify! 3   Reach out on Instagram: @RisenFallen   Check out my website: www.risenfallen.com
