Looking for an awesome podcast? Well “Good News, Everyone!”, whether you are looking for a new series to sink your teeth into, you’ve already been bitten by the Cosmere bug, or if it is simply Valentine’s day and you have forgotten to get a girlfriend again, this is the podcast for you!
Being a self-professed Cosmere-naut, I have listened to many such podcasts and I can honestly say that this is the best one out there. You can only read a book for the first time once but this podcast allows me to re-ignite those feelings of excitement and suspense of going through the Cosmere journey all over again (And it is about the journey, not the destination). The camaraderie of the hosts really feels genuine and their witty banter throughout makes listening to each episode a true pleasure. Data, being the only one having read the Cosmere before, does a stupendous job of guiding his co-hosts through the series, being careful not to spoil anything while simultaneously joining in on the fun of theory crafting.
At the end of each episode, Dac, Joe, and Jaymee give their predictions (predigments) for where they are headed next and I am not sure which I enjoy more, when they astutely predict what is coming or when they are famously off (Re: Volcanoes, no, Dac, you are never going to live that down).
This podcast has everything from laughs to earnest discussion of characters you love to love and characters you love to hate, all peppered with hilarious asides including original rap and the story of a father and son possum-hunting team just trying to get by.
Besides this, the podcast also has a lively Discord channel that has allowed me to gush with others over the contents of the episodes as well as dive into unlocking some of the deep mysteries of the Cosmere.
I would recommend this series and this podcast to everyone and anyone! 5 Stars
