The Spaghetti Bandit is a 10-chapter true crime wilderness podcast series, originally created for parents to enjoy with your kids. Since its creation in the summer of 2017, the Spaghetti Bandit has appealed to all ages. Told in a classic, suspenseful, serial style by acclaimed broadcaster and author Grant Lawrence, the Spaghetti Bandit is the true story of a man who eluded capture for over a year, all the while squatting in cabins and sacred First Nations burial caves. He stole to survive, and eluded capture like a phantom.

Chapter 1 - The Intruder
A family arrives at their cabin to open it up after a long, cold, wet winter. What they discover is unsettling, disturbing, and not what they expected.

An archaeologist and a First Nations Guardian come face to face with a mysterious stranger living in an ancient burial cave.

Police arrive at the burial grounds to arrest the squatter for desecrating the site.

Chapter 4 - The Yellow Kayak
A construction crew shows up a cabin to do some renovations and are startled to discover an unwanted guest scrambling through the back door and into the woods.

Chapter 5 - The Storm
In the middle of a horrendous rain storm, a cabin owner discovers a yellow kayak hidden behind some logs on the beach. The kayak is filled with an assortment of soggy survival gear. But whose kayak is it? Where is the owner?

Chapter 6 - The Police
The RCMP show up and tell the cabin owner that the Spaghetti Bandit is likely long gone. Bob protests, showing them the stolen kayak, but he is ignored. Are they being watched?

A fun mystery
My kids (4 and 8 years old at the time) really enjoyed this series. Just mysterious enough to be interesting for them, but not so mysterious that it’s scary.
