Jacklyn is the 2023/2024 Mabel Pugh Taylor Writer In Residence at McMaster University and Hamilton Public Library. She’s the queer and neurodivergent author of Danger Flower (Palimpsest Press/Anstruther Books), winner of the 2022 Hamilton Literary Award for Poetry and one of CBC's picks for the best Canadian poetry of 2021. She's also the author of Why Are You So Quiet? (Annick Press, 2020), which was shortlisted for a Chocolate Lily Award and selected for the 2023 TD Summer Reading Club. Jaclyn is a Pushcart-nominated writer and the winner of several prizes, including the 2018 RBC/PEN Canada New Voices Award. Jaclyn was a finalist for the 2023 CBC Poetry Prize and the 2023 CRAFT Short Fiction Prize. Her writing has been featured in literary magazines across North America. Her writing has appeared in Room, Taclanese, The Ex-Puritan, Shameless The Ampersand Review, and Tongues: On Longing and Belonging through Language. Sahar is a graduate of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at the University of Guelph and is represented by Amy Tompkins at the Transatlantic Agency.

He is widely recognized for his contributions to the field of literature, particularly in the realms of epiphany analysis and dialogic poetry. Bidney has authored numerous poetry books and translations, showcasing his command of multiple languages and poetic forms.     The Unpredictable with Onder Deligoz hosts spoken word poet Fareh Malik, author of Streams That Lead Somewhere. Fareh Malik is a BIPOC artist from Hamilton, Ontario, as well as a seasoned spoken word poet and established author. Fareh was named the 2022 RBC PEN Canada New Voices Award winner. He was also the winner of Hamilton Art’s Shirley Elford Prize, The 2022 October Project Poetry Award, and MH Canada's 2020 Poetry Contest. Fareh's debut book Streams That Lead Somewhere was published in 2022 with Mawenzi House Publishers. Fareh was named a finalist for the 2021 Best of the Net anthology, and was honoured with the 2021 Garden Project grant to explore interdisciplinary work. His individual works have been published by literary presses all around the world. Fareh’s work has been described as critical, yet sanguine; poetry that often explores the intersection of racialization and mental illness, while maintaining a silver lining on its horizon. He loves to tell the story of his struggle, and of his community around him, in the hope that others can find inspiration and companionship in it. Salma Hussain grew up in the U.A.E., and immigrated to Canada when she was thirteen years old. She has a B.A. (Hon.) in English Literature, with a concentration in creative writing from the University of Calgary, a law degree from the University of Calgary, and a Master’s in Law from McGill University. Her short stories and poems have been published in filling Station, West Coast Line, Other Voices, and in the anthology Homebound: Muslim Women Poetry Collection (Outburst Press). She is a graduate of the Humber Summer Writing Workshop and won the International Festival of Authors’ Litjam short story competition (2018). Onder Deligoz hosts playwright, librettist Catherine Filloux for the 1st episode. For three decades French Algerian American award-winning playwright, librettist and activist Catherine Filloux has been traveling to conflict areas around the world writing plays that address human rights. Filloux’s new play “How to Eat an Orange” opens this season at La MaMa Theatre in New York City, and her new musical “Welcome to the Big Dipper” premieres Off-Broadway next season at the York Theatre in New York City, a NAMT finalist. Catherine’s new play “White Savior” is nominated for The Venturous Play List, and her many plays have been produced around the U.S. and internationally. Filloux is the librettist for four produced operas, broadcast on Cambodian national TV, and on Broadway on Demand and chosen for Opera News Critic’s Choice. “Orlando” is the 2022 Grawemeyer award winner--the first opera by a woman composer and a woman librettist ever to be produced at the Vienna Staatsoper.
