Wonderful in-depth overviews of some classic games. I love hearing the stories of how these games were developed and the developers themselves. Great stuff!

If you want to relive your best memories from the DOS era of PC gaming, the UMB podcast is what you are looking for. Joe brings a mature, down to earth style that really compliments the content well. Every episode is dedicated to one game from the past. Joe does an overview of the game, talks tech, and gives the dev story behind the game. It really shows how much research and prep work goes into each episode. I would say he works hard, but it's obvious Joe truly enjoys doing this so I'm not sure if it really qualifies as "work". Very highly recommended!!

Really enjoying this podcast! Your Tex Murphy episode really sold it for me!
too much rambling

I listened to the Master of Orion podcast. It started with about fifteen minutes of vacation details, news from QuakeCon, and listener mail. At that point I was bored enough to risk snow damage to my iPhone by pulling it out of my pocket and trying to skip to something interesting. When he finally starting talking about Master of Orion, the bits I listened to sounded like a book report from a third grader with no ability to summarize. When he got the details of how you win the game wrong (You get votes in the council based on the number of citizens in your empire, not planets - it's all rep-by-pop in the future!) I gave up and cut my losses.
