We digress a little bit on things like “Who elected Fudge as Minister for Magic?”, “Why was it necessary for Tom Riddle to announce that Ginny’s skeleton would lie in the Chamber forever?” and “Are wizards being rude to mandrakes?”.     Season 2 Episode 3 – “Expelliarmus” (Chamber of Secrets, part 3)

    In this episode we dive deeper into the mystery of the Chamber of Secrets. Some of the events that we break down in this episode include learning more about the founders of Hogwarts during the Transfiguration class, playing Quidditch and learning new spells in the Dueling Club created by Professor Lockhart. We also try to answer some questions, such as: how could Dobby apparate inside Hogwarts, why is Harry always in the vicinity of people who end up being petrified, etc. Also, this is the episode with the largest number of new spells introduced, thus far.     We laughed a lot while recording this episode. We talk about Ron and Harry getting to Hogwarts using the flying car and we attend a couple of second year classes, such as Herbology with professor Sprout and Defense Against the Dark Arts with Professor Lockhart. We also focus on Ron’s failed spells, such as “Eat Slugs” against Malfoy, which ends up backfiring. As always, we digress on curious topics, such as personalities of broomsticks and enchanted objects, “The Evening Prophet” newspaper, the similarities between magic and software engineering, etc. Our segments (quizzes, favorite spells, news, etc.), come at the end of the episode.     Welcome to the first episode of Season 2, in which we will analyze the movie “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. In this episode, we analyze the first 22 minutes of this movie, while paying close attention to events like: Harry’s encounter with Dobby, the Weasleys rescuing Harry from the Dursleys by using the flying car, the great family environment that Harry finds at the Burrow and of course, Harry meeting Lockhart and Lucius Malfoy in Diagon Alley. We also digress on fun topics like “How would the Wizarding World handle potential exposure by recording technology these days?”, “What are the similarities between spells and smart home devices”, etc. The episode ends with the “Quiz” and “Favorite Spell” segments.
