There’s a team in Edmonton that responds to crisis calls from across the city and meets people where they’re at. And yes, that does make them sound like superheroes. But now you can watch them in action. The 24/7 Crisis Diversion Dashboard is an animated map created by a partnership of agencies, that shows where and when people in our city call for help, and how the team gets them what they need. Kelly Husack, director of community initiatives with Reach Edmonton, joins Clare to talk about how this system works, and why they wanted the public to see their work play out.

Hi there. I am a fairly new listener. But this weeks podcast has terrible audio. It’s ramped up to the maximum gain. I guess if you listen without noise cancellation, you’ll hear the scratching sound in all the audio recordings

Given that there are so few podcast based on local events and news in the city of Edmonton, I was really hoping that the CBC would put this together to talk a truely Edmonton perspective. I was hoping for a balanced nutral perspective from all sides. However, this is just another left leaning progressive outlet with a narrative to spout. The CBC should explore the need for balanced content as a main stream news outlet. There are already too many versions of this podcast.
