#S15 Special Episode - Andy Watson's "Control & Calibration" continued

The goal of the “In-Depth Look” series of videos is to explore these subjects in more detail — examining the relevance, efficacy, and methods of incorporating these work and life experiences into budo practice, budo teaching, and community building.

In this episode, Andy Watson and I continue our conversation around "Control & Calibration" (C&C) theory for approaching Iaido practice.  To learn more, go to the Ryoshinkan website: https://www.ryoshinkan.org/cc

Markus Frey is from Helsinki, Finland, and has been training for over 30 years. He holds the rank of Kyoshi 7-Dan, was a member of the Finnish National Team as participant and coach, and is currently preparing for the 8-Dan test when the pandemic has sufficiently reduced to allow for travel to Japan.

In this fascinating conversation, we speak about his start in Kendo, the similarities in mindset and reinforcing benefits of budo and other creative/professional practices.

We speak about international travel, the global community, and transitioning into a leadership role.
