True Crime Brewery

I have been listening since the beginning and have been a long time subscriber. Jill and Dick do their homework on every case. The background on the people involved is in-depth and through. You really get a sense of who the victims and their families are. I prefer cases that are solved and most of the cases they do fit this description. Feedback at the end of episode is like icing on the cake. This is my go to podcast.

I have been listening to True Crime Brewery for years, and have listened to every episode! Anxiously await the new episodes every time. Dick & Jill both speak clearly and have a serious but yet sometimes light hearted analysis of each true crime story covered. I love that they have a consistent way for each episode, telling the key players family history and upbringing as much as is available and relevant. And always include the most details possible on the crime & investigation. A nice variety of current and older cases, and from many countries. The beer reviews are short & sweet, and interesting way to tie the location of the case to the beer of choice for the review for each episode. Great job & please keep it up!! Love this podcast, it is one of a few that has been & remained in my “top 5” podcasts over the past many years that I keep coming back to! Thank you!

Easily my favourite podcast. So much research is put into every episode. The hosts are great and very knowledgeable about each case. They go into the back story about all involved with each case so you get a better feel for the case. If you’re into true crime give True Crime Brewery a listen. You won’t be disappointed! Just so you know Karla’s parents were out for the evening when Tammy was killed. So no they were not present. Also Kirsten and Leslie were raped by Karla and recorded by her when Paul left the home and left Karla alone with them. As a Canadian who has read every book on this couple I’m very well informed. Karla was possibly more guilty than Paul. Before Paul met Karla he had never killed anyone. Also the meeting Karla had with police took place at her lawyers office, not at the hospital. That is how she got the deal. Once the deal was signed her lawyer told them about the tapes. Karla goes by the last name Teale (so she is still holding onto something from Paul) not her present husbands, which was a name Paul went by (I believe it was his bio dads last name). She also didn’t just go on a field trip with the children, she volunteered in the school a lot. Her parents are still in her life even after what she did to her sister. Canadas justice system works differently than the states. Here you aren’t charged with murder just because you’re present when a murder happens. That is why she wasn’t charged with first degree murder in her plea deal. The police did not know she actually participated.
