An Interview With Josh

For the first show of the year, an unexpected treat. A few months ago, Josh had an amazing conversation as a guest on a colleague's podcast. We bring this to you as a nice way to reset, to recalibrate, to reaffirm your mindset as we enter a fresh year. The show is called "A Lot to Talk About" and it's hosted by Bradley Dryburgh, a young guy whose parents were told his Cystic Fibrosis would ruin his life. Instead, he became an ultra-marathon runner, podcaster and motivational speaker. He invited Josh on his show shortly before the U.S. election, so forgive their brief exchange about presidential politics. It's interesting as an analysis of the 24-hour media cycle and how small events can have a big impact. I love Josh and his podcast, he usually has such a great perspective to share but for the love of God why did you interview Candice Owens. That was physically and mentally painful to listen too and now I’m sad for the future of humanity that she has such a large following.

Why would I give full ratings to half a podcast? Especially half a show that you used to post in full but now only do on YouTube unless we now give you $5 a month—the thousandth person to ask for this. More unsustainable than the current media model

All good thoughts… except for the damaging and demoralising conflation of the colonial/imperial projects of the west over the last 500 years. The Spanish conquest was nothing like Britain’s Victorian empire. The latter brought peace, medicine, education, law, trade, technology. If people stopped thinking of western civilisation in terms of a murderous/exploitative invasion of Eden, we might get somewhere. But leftists/jihadists have controlled the narrative ever since the British Commonwealth
