Amazing

It’s a sweet story! Love the actors! Love the progressive original storyline! I look forward for the new episodes every month. It just keeps getting better and better! Well done!

Still listening but barely

I loved the white vault so this is my next adventure. I’m now on the second season but I almost quit due to the main characters CONSTANT crying and high pitched whining…I get it, you are scared, but people are trying to listen here lol. Also the frequent switch in languages without translation are bothersome

HappyGenny ,

Outstanding. Not to be missed.

This podcast is ostensibly about the trials of a young scientist who wakes up alone on a massive colony ship. The real story, however, is the mystery of past events leading up to her being there, as revealed in a series of dreams, flashbacks and memories. The author has written our protagonist with insight and compassion, and we see a compelling portrait of an individual driven by guilt, regret and loss.

Vast Horizon is well written and engaging. Had Season 1 ended with the second to last episode, it would have made a powerful play or short story. Such is the quality of the script. As I write I have just started Season 2, which is different in that it involves a whole host of characters. I can’t fairly critique it, although based on Season 1, I expect it to be great.

I also appreciate the international feel of Vast Horizon. So many podcasts, despite admirable efforts to be inclusive in other respects, remain tiresomely America-centric. This common myopic viewpoint makes others far less relatable, even off-putting. Vast Horizons is refreshing by comparison.

The podcast also benefits from a polished production team. The sound engineering is good, although I have a few small quibbles with the way some of the secondary characters sound. It’s like you’re hearing them secondhand through a bad PA system in a large room. It’s a bit muffled if you’re listening through a speaker, but would likely be fine through headphones. Honestly, that’s the only fault i see in the entire podcast, and I’m a painfully tough critic. Overall, this is an exceptional production and not to be missed. ❤️
