As a kid, heroes that looked like myself were not on the covers of skateboard magazines. In steps, skateboarding LEGEND- @pepwilliams. Being one of the few African-American skateboarders on the cover of Thrasher Magazine, was something of an anomaly. Although it was 1991, he was only the 3rd who’d ever graced the cover. Strange times we lived in. Although, it’s over 30 years ago- his hero status has never changed. So, it’s with great pleasure, I bring you all this exclusive interview with the man himself.

Tune in, as Pep talks growing up skating Watts in the 70s. Jumping up curbs, before knowing what an “Ollie” was. We discuss the history of skateboarding in the hood, Eazy-E in Venice Beach & why people are so amazed by rappers that can skate. Learn about the inportance of skateboarding LEGEND- Jesse Martinez, Bronze Age Clothing & finally someone speaks up about the skateboard industry. Yall gon’ learn today!! Thank you so much, Pep!

We discuss the upcoming H-Street documentary, produced by Tony Magnusson. Talks NBD’s, or whatever you weirdos call it. Skateboarding LEGEND- Matt Hensley, how to properly quit Vision Skateboards, & Muay Thai at the old Uncle Wiggily factory. Yup, it’s all here & well worth the wait.
