135: Feeling Worthy with Amy Green Smith
This episode was a really fun one. In it, I chat with credentialed life coach, hypnotherapist, and personal empowerment expert, Amy Green Smith about fear, people-pleasing, feeling worthy, and taking up space.
There's a lot more I want to say about it but it's one you should listen to and grab some nuggets from yourself!
Here are some teasers...
- Am I actually in danger or is this just new?
- We have conflated what is familiar with what is comfortable.
- Fear and people-pleasing aren't always "bad" - sometimes they're necessary and/or keep you safe.
- Heightened emotional states require acute care, not personal development tools.
- Our modern-day fear responses look different.
- Progressive language (stating you are taking action toward something) can be really helpful in shifting beliefs.
- Our bodies are forcing us to slow down... We have to TAKE rest because it is so rarely given.
