Sooooo first I will say this podcast is extremely entertaining if only for the fact that he gets very interesting guests on, for example Aaron Carter who single handedly proved that he’s out of his mind with no prompting whatsoever.
Steve is an ok interviewer, he does have a tendency to tell the same jokes over and over and over again and use the same tired anecdotes time and time again in regards to his past which gets a little annoying after a while… But all and all he is an inspiration to the sober community and his podcast is very entertaining most of the time.
Now the negatives.
Steve-O is constantly plugging his comedy specials, movies, books, YouTube videos, which is completely fine because he is an entertainer and he wants people to buy his products and consume his content BUT every single time video games come into the conversation he takes the opportunity to call all gamers lazy, time wasting idiots and I personally take great offence to that. What is the difference between watching a man perform a lewd act while jumping out of an airplane and playing a good video game? One is more entertaining… Now what do both of those things have in common? They’re both considered entertainment… So why does Steve-O have to rip on people who enjoy video games when video games fall under the same general umbrella of entertainment as YouTube, tv shows, movies and comedy specials? It’s just annoying and insulting to listen to. Steve-O is entitled to his opinion but blaitently insulting people for enjoying an art form is kind of messed.
