Paula Radcliffe and Chris 'Thommo' Thompson are here for the summer inviting you to join our club as part of our 'Here comes The Run' series. No matter what you're training for, we are here to support you every step of the way! Paula Radcliffe is regarded as one of the greatest female distance runners of our generation. The multiple medal winner and world record holder - including the women’s marathon record for 17 years - has continued her passion for running since retiring in 2015. Chris Thompson is one of the UK's most prolific distance runners for over 25 years. Every Monday, we will bring 45 mins of high energy entertainment with a community spirit. An inclusive, unintimidating experience where people will learn from each other, helping understand quirks and developing coping mechanisms for all levels. On a Thursday we have The Shakeout where we answer audience questions. Each week Paula and Chris will discuss many different aspects of running from nutrition to hydration from motivation to training tips, all based around a running community. They will address the anxieties and uncertainties we all feel surrounding running. Paula and Chris will bring you some of the biggest names that also want to be part of their running community. Regular guests like Steve Peters, Harry Judd and Jill Scott will also be joined by some of the stars from sport and entertainment who will tell you why they run and what motivates them whether it be for fun, health or mental wellbeing.

    Have the Biggest, Wildest Dreams: Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill

    Welcome along to week 10 of "Here Comes the Run" with our really special guest Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill. Jess had a spectacular career winnng gold in the Heptathlon on Super Saturday at the London 2012 Olympics. She was a three time world champion and also won a silver medal in the Rio Olympics. Now she's a commentator, mum, business woman and a keen runner! Jess tells us what she gets from running now she's away from the elite environment. She's also enjoying padel tennis, weights and even hill runs. Thommo reflects on London 2012 and the pressure on Jess as the poster girl from the Games and how she dealt with it and how she's moved on from that. Former England footballer Danny Mills chats to Paula & Thommo about his many roles as athlete, dad and of course, marathon runner! We're not sure how many hats that is, but probably not as many as his caps for England. Danny talks to us about how the power of the mind helps him to go further than he expects and about the joy in the individualism in running. He reminisces on his career as a footballer calling it the best career on the planet but admits it took it's toll on his body. These days he's relishing the lack of competition in his sport whilst simultaneously helping his children to be competitive and resilient in their new sporting careers. Evie ran her first London Marathon this year in her role as a Children with Cancer Ambassador and she's got a secret... she was a swimmer, not a runner, so we find out if the experience has made her change lanes. We talk about jeffing, how she got through those long - sometimes wet - runs and how to fit training around her busy job at the BBC.
