Totalcultzone

The show that is creating challenges for distributors locally TotalCultZone presents....Another movie review podcast? Yeah, I guess so. I do mix it up a bit however by covering new, old, cult, forgotten, unknown, good, bad and ugly movies... Usually all in the same episode. While I will touch upon the popular films of the day, I'll also try my hardest to introduce you to something you didn't know about. It might be a good thing you didn't know about it, but that's a different story entirely. We asked ChatGPT to make a movie

Join ThatFKingGuy and Captain J Spaulding as they talk about a "Movie" that's a cross between, "The Thing" and "The Descent"... at least that's what we think was typed into ChatGPT to create this. IT'S AN OUTRAGE!!!! Bone Keeper is directed and written by Howard J. Ford (DarkGame, Escape) and stars Sarah Alexandra Marks (Escape, Punch, Bogieville), Louis James (Help, Manor Of Darkness), Tiffany Hannam-Daniels (River Of Blood), as well as British acting royalty John Rhys-Davies (Lord of the Rings, Raiders of the Lost Ark). A cosmic fireball crashes into remote woodland, awakening a terrifying creature hidden in the depths. 1976: James Wheeler enters a cave determined to uncover the truth – and is never seen again. All that’s found is a single frame of Super 8 film, capturing the silhouette of a horrifying creature. Now Wheeler’s granddaughter, along with five explorers, set out to investigate the legend of the ‘Bone Keeper’. But deep in the caves, they realise they are being hunted, and the line between hunter and prey blurs. Will they uncover the truth and escape the creature – or become the next missing souls? Bone Keeper celebrated its World Premiere at FrightFest Glasgow and will be available on Digital Download from 6th April    LINKS! A little taste

Last time Mark(100 things we learned from film) was on, we talked about Thatcher, this time it's amazingly someone even worse than Thatcher. In fact, we're having a hard time trying to figure out who could be worse than this guy Based on the award-winning, bestselling book ‘At the Wolf’s Table’ by Rosella Postorino, The Tasters reconstructs the true story of the women coerced into being food tasters for Adolf Hitler towards the end of World War II. In 2012, at the age of 95, a woman named Margot Wölk revealed that she had been one of the young German women forced to taste Hitler's meals at his hiding spot known as the 'Wolf's Lair'. Until then, no one had ever known about the existence of the food tasters and Margot Wölk was the only one among them to survive the end of the war. Her story inspired Rosella Postorino to write At the Wolf’s Table, which in turn inspired the script for The Tasters. Directed by Silvio Soldini (Days and Clouds, Two Lives), The Tasters stars Elisa Schlott (Our Miracle Years, The Empress), Max Riemelt (Sense8, Two To One, Berlin Syndrome) and Alma Hasun (The Glory of Life, Corsage). Spin this

Me and our Joe put on a little fill-um and enjoy life a little bit more because of it, even if Graysome White is in it This sweet and uplifting Irish road movie from filmmaker Michael Head (Bermondsey Tales: Fall of the Roman Empire) packs in the laughs as it follows Dermot (Brenock O’Connor) and Elvis (Owen Colgan), two music lovers who run a struggling record shop in Omagh, Northern Ireland. Facing an unpaid rent bill and their vicious landlord Sadie (Derry Girls’ Tara Lynne O’Neill), who’s eager to get them out of her building, the pair stumble across a deal too good to be true: rare, vintage records of blues legend Robert Johnson for sale in Cork at a knock-down price. If they can make it to the other end of Ireland in time, then maybe they could get the rare vinyl, and save the shop… With just two days to get there the pair head off in a rusty Vauxhall as old as the hills. As they navigate their beautiful journey, they meet locals and make new friends along the way. A fun and off-the-wall buddy movie, The Spin is based upon a semi-autobiographical short story by Omagh music star Mark McCausland (The Lost Brothers, The Basement, McKowski). McCausland also provides the film’s beautiful folk soundtrack. Alongside O'Connor, Colgan and O'Neill, The Spin also stars Pussycat Dolls' Kimberley Wyatt as well as Maura Higgins (formerly Love Island & I'm A Celeb) who makes her feature length acting debut. The film also includes cameos from Irish music royalty, Barry Devlin (Horslips) and Steve Wickham (The Waterboys).
