Call Me Sensitive

Ariane Tavakol

The idea came about because I've finally had it with my sensitivity always being thrown at my face as if a flaw. I actually believed it was, for a long time, but now I know that it's my Super Power and it's the feature that helps me the most to navigate life, business, relationships and so much more. Those who are sensitive can read a room when few can. We can connect the dots most don't see, we can build connections that last a lifetime. And most of all, the one trait we have in common is our relentless optimism and drive amidst the chaos of life.  What This Podcast Is Actually About. It's everything I’ve lived, learned, tried, messed up, built, broken, rebuilt, and questioned  into one place. It’s where the influencers (the actual ones), the researchers, the artists, the entrepreneurs, the doctors, the opinionated moms, the 12-year-olds who see everything, and the people who don’t have a title yet come to talk about how being this way has served them - in life, in business, in relationship, in health .... Not sensitivity as fragility but as strength.

    Laskaar - What Men Carry

We talked about the exhausting pressure of branding ourselves, the constant need to compete and prove our worth, and why rest isn't optional - it's essential. The conversation went deep into how social media has changed the way we connect (and disconnect), why slowing down feels so radical these days, and what it actually means to shed the old and transform. Spoiler: transformation hurts before it sets you free. We also talked about toxic masculinity or what I'd rather call wounded masculinity. Because that's what it really is. There's hope in watching this shift happen, in seeing more men create safe spaces where sensitivity isn't weakness, it's strength. What stuck with me: Transformation is painful before it becomes freeingThe pressure to constantly compete and prove ourselves is exhaustingBalancing purposeful action with rest isn't luxury - it's survivalWhat we covered: 00:00 The pressure of branding and proving ourselves08:14 Balancing purposeful action and rest13:19 The importance of slowing down and embracing boredom21:12 The pressure of performance and the desire for less26:27 Reconnecting through genuine connections32:26 Gratitude and the negativity bias42:25 Reframing toxic masculinity as wounded masculinity49:13 Hope in the shift towards healing masculinity57:21 Creating safe spaces for sensitivity Suscribe to Laskaar's channel here: http://radi.al/laskaaryoutubesusFollow Laskaar on: Instagram: http://radi.al/laskaarinstagramFacebook: http://radi.al/laskaarfacebookSpotify: http://radi.al/laskaarspotify
